THE DORSEY BROTHERS - Stop, Look & Listen
Produktbeskrivelse
Brothers Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey are already well represented in the Naxos Jazz Legends back catalogue as individuals. This disc, however, brings us recordings from the early 1930s, when the brothers founded The Dorsey Brothers Orchestra, a group that included such jazz greats as Bob Crosby and Glenn Miller. This period of musical sibling harmony came to an end in 1935, when Tommy quit the band in a dramatic storming off stage after a disagreement between the brothers. Tracks found on this disc include some well known jazz standards such as Mood Indigo and Solitude, as well as less familiar pieces.
