The story of the Vineyard began when a few Christians in Southern California, hungry for the presence of God, made worship and intimacy with Him their highest priority. As God´s Spirit touched these people, His glory overwhelmend them in beautiful ways. One of these people was John Wimber, a professional musician who gave up a lucrative career to pursue God. Out of this pursuit John founded the Vineyard movement, a primary force in church planting and the renewal of the Church.
